Outreach Ministries
Our Outreach Ministry is committed to reaching beyond the walls of Eugene Friends Church to show the love of Jesus to all people, from our local community to the ends of the earth.
Our Outreach Ministry is Eugene Friends Church at work in Jesus’s name, striving to meet the needs of the wider community. We believe that we are called to serve one another; within our families, communities, our nation, and throughout the world.
Emerald Village
We have worked together, with many other volunteers, to build a tiny home at a site called Emerald Village. It's all part of Square One Villages, a nonprofit that helps create urban villages of tiny homes for people who need a step up to affordable housing. Contractor Clyde Parker, with Parker & Lee Inc., and Architect Will Dixon spearheaded the project.
Interfaith Family Shelter
For many years, Eugene Friends Church has participated in St. Vincent de Paul's Interfaith Family Shelter program. More than 30 faith communities in the Eugene/Springfield area feed and help around 20 families per night. We generally take our turn during a week in March or April. At the present time, we prepare meals for 2 or 3 days, and deliver them to The First Place Family Center at 1995 Amazon Parkway in Eugene.
Call our office at 541-484-9998 and leave a message for Cindy Howland, our Outreach Clerk, if you are interested in helping.
Project Hope
Each year, Eugene Friends Church joins with other churches to help local schools. We provide children with backpacks, school supplies, shoes, and haircuts at a Kids' Fair Giveaway at Cesar Chavez Elementary School, and we help our local McCornack Elementary School with work projects. If you are interested in helping with this wonderful program, please contact Cindy Howland, our Outreach Clerk. Leave a message for her at the EFC office at 541-484-9998.
Join us in building better relationships with our local schools, community, children, and churches! Check out onehopenetwork.org for more details.
Community Court
The City of Eugene has an innovative program designed to help the justice system handle lower-level offenses. It's called Community Court. Eugene Friends Church provides sack lunches to those attending the court. If you can help out by packing lunches or baking cookies, please contact Cindy Howland, our Outreach Clerk, and she will let you know the next date.
Cindy can be reached by calling EFC's office at 541-484-9998.

Burrito Brigade - Little Free Pantry
Need food?
We have partnered with Burrito Brigade to bring their "Little Free Pantries" to our neighborhood by hosting our very own "Little Free Pantry" at the church. Volunteers help to check the panty and stock it with food throughout the week.

Have Food to Share?
While we rely on pantry hosts and other volunteers to keep the Little Pantry stocked for our neighbors who might be experiencing food insecurity, anyone can bring supplies to stock the pantry. Nonperishables, unopened beverages, and hygiene products are always in demand. Fresh produce is always welcome. If you have perishable items to donate, please coordinate with the church office so that we can arrange for proper storage of them.

The church office hours are Tuesday - Thursday 11 am to 2 pm. 541-484-9998.
Our Partnerships
Egan Warming Centers. The warming centers ensure that homeless people in Lane County have shelter and food when temperatures are below freezing. They are located in various churches and at LCC. We have many active volunteers working at the Warming Centers and we work at recruiting people to assist and volunteer for this life-saving organization. Check our bulletin for volunteer training sessions or go to - www.eganwarmingcenter.com
St. Vincent de Paul. St. Vinnies is an amazing local charity that helps provide affordable housing, job, and services to those in need. They operate the Egan Warming Centers and many thrift stores locally, as well as helping with job searches, employment, and renter rehabilitation. We work with St. Vinnie’s “Overnight Camping Program”, by hosting a camper in our parking lot. www.stvincent.org
Catholic Community Services. Catholic Community Services was organized in 1952 to help families and individuals in need. If EFC is unable to provide immediate or emergency assistance to visitors, we refer them to this important organization. We support CCS with a food drive and a winter clothing collection drive. www.ccslc.org
Food Pantry Needs. We help deliver food to people who cannot make it to the food pantry.
